Karl founded Kamin Associates in 1995 with a focus on building a team of skilled IT and security professionals committed to excellence. For more than 30 years, he has led the company in delivering managed security services and building long-term partnerships with clients across a range of industries.

He brings over three decades of experience in IT and cybersecurity. His background includes a 12-year tenure with the U.S. Air Force’s 92nd Information Warfare Aggressor Squadron, where he led teams that simulated real-world cyber threats to identify and address vulnerabilities in military systems. Karl also instructs ISC2 courses, including CISSP, CCSP, and CSSLP, and holds a strong portfolio of industry certifications.

He continues to guide the firm’s approach to risk mitigation, security technologies, and emerging threats.

Outside of work, Karl is an avid cyclist who enjoys San Antonio’s routes, a good cup of coffee, and time with his grandchildren.
